After graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts at The University of Georgia, Summer started her career in Atlanta where her particular interest in Restaurant Design was cultivated during a six-year tenure at The Johnson Studio.  Having obtained the National Council of Interior Design Qualification in 2003, Summer remained focused within the Food & Beverage sector whereby four of her projects received national acclaim as Esquire Magazine's 'Best New Restaurants in the USA.'  In 2007, Summer jumped at the opportunity to work abroad where she quickly rose to the position of Associate in the London office of Hirsch Bedner Associates.  Her love of travel and culture were expressed through projects spanning the globe in destinations including Beirut, Gstaad, Oslo, Milan, Istanbul, Amsterdam, Dubrovnik, and beyond.  Summer’s personal and creative growth were recognized through several award winning projects; one receiving the ‘Best Overall Winner’ in the Society of British Interior Designer’s International Design Awards in Paris, 2011.  Shortly thereafter, Summer fulfilled a lifelong dream of owning her own firm when she opened Summer Williams Design in 2012 in London, UK; and subsequently in Atlanta, GA in 2016.  Summer has over 20 years of professional interior design experience.
